Actually, this disease (dinga dinga) is mainly affecting women and girls of Bundibugyo districts of Uganda, due to which their body trembles, they have difficulty in walking and the body starts shaking vigorously. Yes, it looks like these women are dancing.

What is Dinga Dinga disease?

According to reports, Dinga Dinga disease appeared for the first time in Bundibugyo district of Uganda. People suffering from this disease are showing strange symptoms. People are doing dancing like actions and moving their bodies a lot. Besides, the victims are suffering from high fever, weakness and in some serious cases, even paralysis. People affected by this disease are having difficulty in walking, there is tremor in the body and it feels as if the body is not under control. At present, the reason for the spread of Dinga-Dinga disease in Africa has not been known, people in the areas where this disease has spread have been advised to remain alert.

What is the treatment for dinga dinga?

Regarding Dinga Dinga disease, doctors say that there is no exact treatment for it, currently medicines are being given to the patient after keeping an eye on its symptoms. In which the help of antibiotics is being taken, along with these symptoms, problems of weakness and paralysis are also occurring.

This disease is especially affecting the women and girls of Uganda. It is being told that more than 300 cases of this disease have been reported in Bundibugyo. Although no one has died, the disease was first discovered in 2023. On this, doctors are also taking samples and sending them to the Health Ministry for analysis.
